This week, a CCPD Officer initiated a traffic stop for hazardous moving violations in the area of Venice Blvd and Sepulveda Blvd.

The driver, had a suspended driver’s license and had a probation violation warrant for his arrest.

During the investigation, Officers located identification cards, mail and stolen items in his possession. As it turns out, the items recovered were stolen in a residential burglary in West Los Angeles.

The suspect was arrested without incident and transported to CCPD for booking.

The victims were contacted and recovered their stolen property.

Great job by our Officers for conducting a thorough investigation.

This morning around 5:00 AM, CCPD officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Braddock Dr. and Coombs Ave. Officers developed legal reason to search the vehicle which revealed numerous tools consistent with catalytic converter thefts. Based on the officer’s observations, search of the vehicle and suspect interviews, all occupants were arrested for conspiracy to commit grand theft.

Kudos to our morning watch officers ensuring that our residential neighborhoods are being patrolled and helping deter crimes from occurring 👏
