Another Camp 911 chapter closed!

81 campers learned about many different types of emergencies and how to act if they are ever faced with them!

Camp 911 would like to thank everyone involved in the event! If it was not for all of you, this camp would not be possible!

Please take precautions when taking on this heat!

⚠️ HIGH HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT TODAY ⚠️

Dangerous temperatures are expected throughout the day, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses for everyone in our community.

Take precautions now:
💧 Drink plenty of water
🏠 Seek air-conditioned spaces when possible
☀️ Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
❤️ Check on older adults, young children, neighbors, and others who may be at higher risk

Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can develop quickly and become life-threatening. If you or someone you know experiences confusion, loss of consciousness, or a body temperature above 103°F, call 911 immediately.

Today we wish our long time EMT Jason Lund the best as he works his final shift at Mercy before heading to the NMU Police Academy!
