Maxi the Military Model A is on the move again! Jay left Cambria on September 1st and arrived at Leavenworth, WA, (his initial goal) today – It took a little longer than expected because Maxi blew a head gasket. But she’s feeling much better now.

We’re here in Leavenworth to meet other members of the Model A Touring Club for an 18-day loop from here to Coeur d’Alene ID, Kalispell Mt, Radium Hot Springs British Columbia, Salmon Arm BC, 100 Mile House BC, Quesnel BC, McBride BC, Jasper Alberta, Lake Louise Alberta, Cranbrook BC, Grand Forks BC and back to Leavenworth WA. Whew! A lot of beautiful country to see on this tour!

Here's a shot from early morning in Seattle. The big blue van at the top of the photos belongs to Tim who will be our trouble trailer driver. At the bottom left is “Radial Flyer” a 1929 fordor which belongs to Terri; the Model A next to her is a Panel Truck owned by George; then there’s Maxi with Jay in the yellow cap adjusting some last little thing.

It’s great to be on the road again with old friends and new friends who will soon join the “old friends” club.

Hi all This is a video of Maxi after she’s been clearcoated to protect the approximately 1,000 veterans' autographas. When you watch it turn the volume down -- the fans are going in the spray booth. There's still room for more signatures before she goes to a museum.

Military Maxi is back home after her trip to and from the Arctic Ocean, but she still reaching out to veterans. Yesterday the San Luis Obispo Veterans Services Office held a pop-up resource fair right here in Cambria -- and Maxi was there, collecting more veteran signatures and memories.
