Did You Know? It's back‑to‑school season, and now is the perfect time to remind everyone that South Jersey Ports welcomes student visits, tours, and career days all year long.

From elementary classes to college programs, students get an up‑close look at real maritime operations, global supply chain movement, and the many career paths that keep our region moving.

Our team also participates in school career days and classroom presentations to help students connect classroom learning to real‑world opportunities in logistics, engineering, operations, safety, and more.

These programs inspire future maritime leaders and show young people the wide range of careers available right here in South Jersey.

Our team spent two impactful days volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in our host city, Camden, contributing to an ongoing home renovation that will eventually welcome a future family. Twelve staff members took on major structural work, framing the basement, repairing floors and joists, installing new subfloors, clearing debris, and more.

What stood out most was how our crews approached the project: they’re not afraid of hard work, and they brought the same speed, skill, and efficiency to volunteer days as they do on the job day in and day out.

With the full project expected to continue over coming months, we’re proud to support Habitat’s mission and look forward to returning for future build days that strengthen our community and help create a safe, beautiful family home! 🏠 ❤️

Did You Know? Throwback Edition!
For a century, South Jersey Ports has been helping to power the region’s economy and it all began with the creation of the South Jersey Port Commission in 1926, establishing the port district and laying the foundation for the modern terminals we operate today.

For 100 years, the dedicated crews at our terminals have kept the supply chain moving safely and efficiently, supporting local jobs and connecting South Jersey to the world.

Teamwork in Motion at Balzano Terminal! The MV Adaline arrived with a massive load, over 13,000 MT of steel, and as usual our teams delivered.

South Jersey Ports, Delaware River Stevedores, and Pass & Stow worked as one coordinated operation to safely discharge the ship’s products with precision. From equipment operators to cargo validators, every role contributed to a smooth, efficient operation that keeps our region’s supply chain moving.

Crews were hard at work this month at Balzano Terminal, where they discharged more than 14,000 metric tons of steel from the Northern Venture well into the night. Even as daylight faded and the sunset rolled in, operations stayed steady and precise...a strong snapshot of the skill and commitment our crews bring to every vessel.
