💙💛National Convention Day #3💛💙

We started the day bright and early at the Tennessee Breakfast where we celebrated all of the accomplishments of our Tennessee FFA members. We made our final stops at expo and then headed off to the Three Hills Rodeo FFA Edition where we spotted a familiar face, Mr. Jerry Thornton! 🤠 After the rodeo, our students tried their hand at electric scooters, and let’s just say… we may need to add a few to the school’s wish list!

Our students have had an incredible time at the National FFA Convention, and they have represented Benton County so well! 💙💛 They’ve had amazing opportunities to grow as leaders, build connections, and network with others in the agriculture industry.

We are so proud of these students and can’t wait to see them bring home everything they’ve learned and put it into action in our school and community!

💙💛 National FFA Convention Day #2 💛💙

Day 2 in Indy was full of inspiration, leadership, learning, and lots of fun (and walking, haha)!

Today, our students attended two sessions filled with inspiration and celebration! They heard a powerful message from keynote speaker Scott McKain, received a special message from U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, a fellow FFA alum, and celebrated the accomplishments of other chapters as students took the big stage. Of course, we made sure to cheer extra loud for our fellow Tennessee folks!

In between sessions, our students participated in a leadership workshop focused on developing the skills needed to positively influence others and advocate for agriculture and the issues they care about!

After a long and exciting day, we wrapped things up with a Pizza & PJs night back at the hotel! It was the perfect way to relax, laugh, and share stories from all of the day's adventures. 🍕

Stay tuned for tomorrow as we head into our final full day in INDY!

💙💛National Convention Day #1💛💙

What a great first day at National FFA Convention!

Our students spent the day attending workshops, exploring the expo, and checking out the mall. We wrapped up the night with a chapter fun night at Dave & Buster’s, where we had a blast hanging out and making connections with fellow FFA chapters from Illinois, Florida, and Missouri!

One of the highlights of the night was getting to reconnect with one of our members’ former advisors! 💛 It was a great reminder that FFA friendships and connections last far beyond the chapter.

We’re kicking off convention week with great memories, new connections, and plenty of excitement for what’s still to come!

Congratulations to our Horse Judging Team! 🎉

Yesterday, these young ladies took on a new challenge and stepped outside of their comfort zones by trying Horse Judging for the first time. They did an incredible job!

We are so proud of our members for being willing to try new things, take on challenges, and push themselves beyond what they thought they could do.

Team members include:
Lillian Long, Hayden Peek, Jaylee Baugus, and Abigail Capps

⭐️We placed 1st in our district and 9th overall.
⭐️Jaylee Baugus placed 2nd highest individual overall.

This past Saturday, our FFA members had the opportunity to attend the 2026 West Tennessee Greenhand & C**T Conference!

💙💛For many of our members, this was their first opportunity to travel with our chapter and see just how many opportunities FFA has to offer.

Throughout the day, students stepped outside of their comfort zones, developed leadership skills, met new friends from across West Tennessee, and learned more about what it means to be an FFA member.

We are excited to see our members take what they learned, put their new skills into action, and use their experiences to make a difference in our school, our chapter, and our community! We can’t wait to see all that this group accomplishes! 💛💙

What a day! We were so excited to work with Rockin E Farms to bring these beautiful mums to our FFA supporters this past Friday!

It was definitely a HOT delivery day, but our students worked hard unloading, organizing, and getting orders ready for our customers all while keeping a positive attitude! We are so proud of their hard work and grateful for everyone who helped make the day a success!

A HUGE thank you to Rockin E Farms for providing such beautiful mums and to our amazing community for continuing to support our FFA chapter. We are so thankful for each and every order! 💛

With the school mums being delivered this week I wanted to give out some tips and tricks to keeping them alive during this heat wave.

•Take them out of the bags AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The bags are meant to keep them safe during transport. If they aren't taken out of the bags and are left in direct sunlight they will get too hot and die.

• Water them early in the morning or later in the evening. During the extreme heat, I recommend watering them both in the morning and evening to ensure that they stay beautiful and don't get droopy.

• Be sure when you water your mums that the water is getting to the bottom. Watering from the top is ok as long as you are sure that the water is getting to the roots.

• If you have dead blooms you can pick them off and they will grow back.

• If the blooms do get droopy but they are still green, water it REALLY good. It will bounce back overnight.

I hope everyone enjoys their mums and thank you for supporting your local schools!
