It never made finacial sense to me to entertain an annex. Former EDC CAO Ashton now a consultant initially advised the cpcsd to negotiate annexation with edh fire even though there was a $1.5 m shortfall according to his report. Now he advised the Board to stick with calfire.

Thank you to Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a fun community event at Burke’s Junction!!!! Hundreds of happy trick or treaters! It was great getting to visit with so many people and the costumes were so cute.

The CSD is in violation of state law. The CSD was required to deliver its audited financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2023, to County Auditor Joe Harn and LAFCO no later than June 30, 2024. That has not occured.

This is absolutely unacceptable.

Time to clean house. We need leaders who demand accountability and transparency.

Neighbors in Cameron Park!

I need your help. The current GM of the CSD Board under direction of the Board is negotiating with Housing El Dorado for housing homeless people overnight during some winter nights. While none of us want to see people sleeping outside in the cold or rain, our community center used by youth sports teams, kids classes etc is NOT the place. Right next to 2 schools and the library is not the right place. Children could be exposed to s*x offenders ( including the svp the state wants to release in EDC as homeless with ankle monitor), drug addicts, and the severely mentally ill.

Help me stop this terrible idea!

Apparently the plan has been going on behind closed doors for 6-8 weeks. I discovered it on the agenda yesterday for last night and started making calls. The first one I made was to our Sheriff who showed up to the meeting and stood up for us. He has an excellent HOT Team ( homeless outreach team) and shared valuable sight from 34 years in LE.
