UPDATE - SEVERE WEATHER
The enhance risk has been expanded to include Central KY this afternoon.
Expect straight-line 70 MPH wind, 1-2 inch hail, intense lightning, and flash flood potential.
Onset of severe weather is between 3 PM to 6 PM and ending between 7 PM to 10 PM.
SEVERE WEATHER BRIEF
FOR TUESDAY 7/21/26
The potential for severe weather exist for Tuesday. The possibility of two lines of severe weather could move through the area between 12 noon to 3 PM and again 7 PM to 10 PM.
The first round of storms will possibly be confined to the NE of our area around the Lex region but could extend further enough west to affect our area.
However, the second round is expected to move SE across central KY.
The main severe weather threats are straight line winds of 60+ MPH, possibly spin-up tornado along the severe line, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.
