In this time of sadness, I had a bit of luck. An article about myself and my novels is on the website of the College of Liberal Arts of the University of Minnesota. If you are interested, take a look!

Dear All,
It saddens me to tell you that Yoko Breckenridge passed away today, peacefully and with her family around her. I know that many will feel great loss at her passing.

I am very honored to have known Yoko, and to have the opportunity to continue her legacy through the Library. She was an exceptionally gifted and caring woman who turned her suffering as a child and young woman into inspiration, in doing so touching the lives of many.

"The door of a library should always be open," Yoko once said to me. I am going to open the door of this new library, so that, along with Cha'ami Cultural Center in Minneapolis, and through the continued effort of Yoko's many friends, we can see that her spirit does not fade, but only gains strength as the years go by.

After a hectic fall term at the U of MN, I am again starting work on the library. It's now complete- we only have to put the books in bookcases! My husband Curt made 10 bookcases for the bunkobon paperbacks. We're working our way up to 40.
As for the hardcover books on the bottom level, a shipment of 24 larger bookshelves should come to us this week.

Look for updates!

Marnie
