North East Texas Young Republicans Appoint Matt Proper as Treasurer

CANTON, Texas — The North East Texas Young Republicans (NETYR) Executive Board has unanimously approved the appointment of Matt Proper to serve as the organization’s Treasurer.

Proper currently serves as a City Council Member for Gun Barrel City and brings valuable public service experience, leadership, and a commitment to responsible stewardship to the organization. As Treasurer, he will oversee the financial affairs of the club and help ensure the continued growth and success of its mission.

“Matt has already demonstrated a strong commitment to serving his community, and we are excited to welcome him to the Executive Board,” said NETYR President Gavin Whitaker. “His, integrity, and dedication to conservative leadership make him an outstanding addition to our team. We are confident he will play an important role as we continue building the premier Young Republican organization in East Texas.”

Today, we join our fellow Texans and Americans in mourning the loss of two brave United States Army soldiers, Pvt. Isabella Gonzales and 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, who gave their lives in defense of our nation. Their willingness to answer the call to serve represents the very best of America. They stood ready to defend freedom, their fellow soldiers, and the principles that have long made our country strong. Their sacrifice is a solemn reminder that the liberties we enjoy each day are secured by men and women willing to place themselves in harm’s way.

Please join us in praying for the Gonzales and Feehan families, their fellow soldiers, and all those grieving this profound loss. May God bring them comfort, strength, peace, and may we never forget the price paid by those who defend our freedom.
