Joint Operations Access Exercise, Feb. 12, 2012

Paratroopers of 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, along with their Canadian counterparts of Company M, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Royal Canadian Regiment, conducted a Joint Operations Access Exercise at Holland Drop Zone here Feb. 12, 2012.

The Operation gave American Paratroopers the opportunity to test their Global Response Force readiness and ability to conduct operations with coalition partners. The training also proved valuable to the Canadian Paratroopers who are not normally able to conduct battalion or brigade sized training events.

The JOAX included in-flight rigging before a nighttime combat equipment jump, assaulting and cleaning a flight landing strip, an air assault, a ground assault convoy, and evacuation of civilian noncombatants.
