July 21, 2026 COMMUNITY UPDATE

💦 BOTTLED DRINKING WATER DISTRIBUTION HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR ALL OF DIMMIT COUNTY

Beginning at 12 PM - 7PM

📍 Carrizo Springs Volunteer Fire Station
202 E. Nopal Street

Enter from Alamo Street (east side of the fire station).
* Proceed to the Water Distribution location at 202 E. Nopal St

To receive bottled water, residents must provide one of the following:
• A current water bill from any city within Dimmit County or
• A valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID showing an address within Dimmit County

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue working with our county, state, and local partners to respond to this emergency. Please continue to conserve water whenever possible and follow the City of Carrizo Springs page for additional updates.

Special thanks to our CSVFD and all volunteers who have been working tirelessly to distribute water to the community.

On March 16, Dimmit County Commissioners Court approved the installation of a plaque inscribed with a letter from Lt. Col. Comdt. William Barret Travis regarding his request for aid at the Alamo and his determination to fight to the death. The plaque was made possible and purchased through a donation and installed at the request of the Dimmit County Historical Society.
