In person visitation will be starting back on Wed. April 13 at the Carroll County Detention Center. For right now, visitation will be on Wednesdays only until I can get Sat. worked out on staff. Then we will be back to Wed. and Sat. visitation. Call the detention center to set up an appointment for Wed. 4-13 on Mon. 4-11 or Tues. 4-12 9am -4pm. The video visitation will continue even after the in person visitation starts back.
All Church Services, GED and AA/NA have been back to normal for a few months now. Church services are held at 6 different time slots per week. GED classes are held two nights a week with testing being held during the day when needed. AA/NA classes are held one night a week.
All this is very important to those incarcerated as well as their families.

Proud of my staff at the Carroll County Detention Center. Some may think it's a simple task, but it's NOT an easy job working inside a jail. Day after day and night after night you never know what you are going to face. But keeping the drugs from reaching population is priority and a large part of their training. Just today while booking in a new resident this was found during the initial pat down. This could mean a serious medical situation or death if it got through booking into general population. A HUGE THANK YOU to my staff today and everyday for diligently doing their best and utilizing their training for the safety and security of the jail and general public. I appreciate your work!!!

The ice was pretty hard this morning but the CCDC work crew fellows got around the downtown courthouse pretty good. They also helped around the ambulance barn bay doors to help get the emergency vehicles in and out. Of course they did the sidewalks at the jail. A big THANK you to Michael Terrell with the Carrollton Fire Department for scraping our parking lot. The Carrollton Street Dpt., Carroll Co. Road Dpt. and State road Dpt. did an amazing job handling all that ice and keeping the roads safe as possible. Below a few pics of before and after at the courthouse and ambulance barn. The jail work crew worked very hard today.
