DETR provides support and guidance on unemployment insurance benefits for federal employees affected by the federal government shutdown.

For more information on eligibility, how to apply for unemployment insurance, and resources, visit: Federal Shutdown Guidance - Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. https://detr.nv.gov/Page/Federal_Shutdown_Guidance

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 22,000 federal employees work in Nevada, not including federal contractors. It is not yet known how many may be eligible for unemployment insurance during the shutdown.

“We are here to support federal workers affected by the shutdown,” said Christopher Sewell, director of DETR. “DETR is ready to assist Nevadans with unemployment benefits and reconnecting them to opportunities.”

Federal workers who are furloughed may apply for unemployment benefits during the shutdown at nui.nv.gov. Those with reduced hours may also qualify for partial benefits. Employees who are working but are not receiving pay may also qualify for benefits.

Separately, paid administrative leave for federal employees who voluntarily accepted the Deferred Resignation Program ended on September 30, 2025. These individuals will now be considered unemployed and may be eligible for UI benefits.

DETR also offers a wide range of services directed at those who are out of work or looking to change paths. Career seekers are encouraged to register with Nevada’s largest database of jobs at EmployNV.gov and visit or call an EmployNV Career Hub for help with no-cost employment and training assistance.

This guide provides U.S. Army small unit leaders with practical Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for integrating Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into their operations.

The increasing importance of UAS on the modern battlefield is highlighted by the conflict in Ukraine, where coordinated teams employing multiple UAS platforms for reconnaissance, signal relay, electronic warfare, and strike operations have proven decisive. While the U.S. Army is actively investing in capabilities and formalizing integration processes through initiatives like Transformation in Contact (TiC), success hinges on developing foundational skills for both individual Soldiers and units.
