Alright folks, we only need to sell 3 more shirts to start the initial printing so those who have ordered can receive theirs and NC Thespians can get their funds. Half the price goes to help pay for PPE so we can make theatre this year. We appreciate your support for educational theatre in Casper!

This year has been crazy. Commemorate it and your support of the arts with a purchase of this special design.

Natrona County School District

Theatre students in the Natrona County High School Drama Department have been working hard preparing for their upcoming show “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”! This wonderfully smart, and hilarious musical with book by Rachel Sheinkin and music by William Finn, follows six middle school spellers as they navigate their way through life’s challenges, disappointments, and changes all while seeking to represent Putnam County at Nationals.

“This show has become very popular with high school audiences,” director Zach Schneider said. “It speaks to them on a very real level about growing up and all of the hopes and fears that go along with it.”

The show features two casts, audience involvement, and a special guest from the NCHS faculty that changes each performance. No two performances will be the same!

This show will be performing at 7 p.m. Nov. 15-16 and 21-22 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 16 and 23 at the John F. Welsh Auditorium.

Amazing work Mustangs and Fillies! #EverydayExcellence #StudentSnapshot

ONE WEEK TO OPENING!!
Natrona County High School presents the hilarious musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at 7 p.m. Nov. 15-16 and 21-22 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 16 and 23 at the John F. Welsh Auditorium. This wonderfully smart musical with book by Rachel Sheinkin and music by William Finn, follows six middle school spellers as they navigate their way through life’s challenges, disappointments, and changes all while seeking to represent Putnam County at Nationals.
“This show has become very popular with high school audiences,” director Zach Schneider said. “It speaks to them on a very real level about growing up and all of the hopes and fears that go along with it.”
The show features two casts, audience involvement, and a special guest from the NCHS faculty that changes each performance. No two performances will be the same.
Beginning this year admission to all plays, musicals, and concerts will be free thanks to a school board decision last summer that removed all gate fees from school events.
“Our hope is that by making the performances free, we will have a better turnout by those who maybe have never been to a play or musical before,” Schneider said. “We welcome everyone to come see what amazing actors, musicians and theatre technicians our school has.”
For more information, contact Schneider at (307) 253-1670 or [email protected].

Gabe DeGraeve was the director of this year’s Thespian Filmworks film! The kids have one week to cast, film, and edit an original film. The folks that tan the event were very impressed with Gabe’s enthusiasm, insight, and willingness to put in a week of hard work! We’re proud of you, Gabe. Also, thanks to Lance Madzey, our amazing film teacher, who creates and fosters a wonderful place for students to make art.
