Earlier this month, CTE students attended the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta!

Natalia DiCaprio (Catskill Central School District) and Madisyn Werner (Greenville Central School District) represented Donald R. Kline Technical School and competed against students from across the country in the EMT competition.

Madelyn Danaher (Averill Park Central School District) and Kaylee Lehman (Brunswick (Brittonkill) Central School District), both Criminal Justice students, represented Robert H. Gibson Technical School as elected officers. Madelyn is a newly elected NYS Officer who took part in advanced leadership professional development and training, while Kaylee, a National Delegate, participated in the House of Delegates.

Students had a great time networking with like minded students from across the country, took advantage of professional development opportunities, and met with industry professionals from across the country. Thanks for representing Questar III BOCES!

Last week, New Visions students from multiple programs joined together for Physics Karate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Led by New Visions: STEM teacher Mr. Yarberry, students participated in a traditional Japanese karate class. As they learned the karate techniques, Mr. Yarberry broke down the physics behind the moves, along with the related anatomy and biology. It crossed into multiple programs, and students had a blast while learning!

Last week, before the New Visions Send-Offs, students from across multiple programs came together for an end of year picnic at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Students enjoyed snacks, played games outside, signed each other's yearbooks, and had one final celebration together as a group. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

While the heat forced the End of Year Picnic inside at Donald R. Kline Technical School for our seniors, it didn't stop the fun and smiles as students enjoyed one final social event ahead of the last day of school. Students enjoyed sandwiches served by staff, played games and ate in the Community Room, played Co****le in the hall, and enjoyed one final laugh together. Congrats, class of 2026!

Earlier this month, the senior class at Robert H. Gibson Technical School enjoyed their end-of-year picnic with yard games, delicious food prepared by the culinary class, and time to socialize and celebrate their accomplishments before graduation. We’re incredibly proud of our CTE graduates and can’t wait to see all they accomplish in the future!

Earlier this week, the Regents program at Robert H. Gibson Technical School celebrated its graduates with their family and friends. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Seniors in the HVAC program at Donald R. Kline Technical School showed how creativity and technical skills can meet. Students had to create a supply list, perfect their piping and electrical skills, work on their time management (the project isn't as easy as it looks!), and problem solve throughout their black iron lamp project. Nice work!

Our Pre-K students in Mrs. Stauder's class at Green Meadow Elementary School (East Greenbush Central School District) recently explored the fascinating world of bees through a hands-on STEM activity. Using a 3D printer, students created bees and honeycombs, then used bee-eyedroppers to collect and transfer “nectar” into the 3D-printed honeycomb cells just like real bees!

Through play, observation, and teamwork, students learned about pollinators, honey production, and the important role bees play in our ecosystem while building curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
