🗳️ ELECTIONS 2026: Heather Moore for Boyd County Commissioner District 1
Next up in the 2026 candidate spotlight series: Heather Moore, who is running for Boyd County Commissioner in District 1.
In her remarks, Moore said she is not a career politician, but a school counselor, wife, stepmom, and community advocate. Her message focused on service, listening, and bringing a different perspective to county leadership.
Her main priorities appear to be:

🔴 Smart growth and opportunity
🔴 Workforce development and trade education
🔴 Accountability and transparency
🔴 Keeping young people in Boyd County
🔴 Making sure families feel heard and supported
Moore also pointed out that Boyd County has never had a woman’s perspective on the commission, saying representation and perspective matter.
Her pitch to voters is simple: she says she is not running to maintain the status quo, she is running for progress, change, and a stronger Boyd County.
