Public Information Announcement:
Please be advised that the water in the McNary, Hondah, and Apache Dawn residences may appear milky-looking this is due to excess air in the water. Also, it may smell like chlorine. Chlorine provides a residual disinfectant that continues to protect your water in the distribution system from contamination as it travels to your tap.
Tribal Utility Water Operators will switch from the Hondah Homesite Well to the Meadows Well to lessen the air in the water and another strategy is reducing the age of the water in the storage tanks from three days to one day. This will be accomplished by reducing the water levels in the storage tanks. This will improve the quality of your tap water.
If you have any questions, please call TUA at 928-338-4825.
Respectfully,
Thomas Pacheco
