✨ Newman International Academy's Arise & Shine District Talent Show was a spectacular showcase of creativity and skill! 🎤🌟 Huge congratulations to Ayden P. and The Apple Fritters Band from NIAA Gibbins for clinching 1st place with their mesmerizing performance of 'From the Start.' Dallas N. from NICH Elementary stole hearts with her captivating contemporary dance, earning a well-deserved 2nd place. And let's not forget Harmony and Melody N. from NIA Fort Worth, whose original choreography to 'I Got That' earned them the 3rd place spot. 🎶 Special thanks to all our incredible Performing Arts teachers, guest judges, and event coordinator for making this show a huge success! 👏🎉

Our school is raising $25,000 for campus events, supplies, and items for Warrior Character Awards, good behavior incentives, equipment for campus, playground & campus improvements and we’re on our way! While our fundraiser is a BIG part of supporting students this year, our NICHE Warrior Fun Run also includes amazing character enrichment through our character theme called, “World Changer Workshop”.

I hope you are enjoying this spring season. We are sure you are also experiencing the excitement coupled with public anxiety regarding the impending eclipse, surely a great scientific phenomena.

Newman family, with the forecast about thousands of people from all over the country visiting the Dallas-Fort Worth region on the day of the eclipse, the possible traffic jam that may be caused during student drop off and pick up times, and also the danger involved in watching the eclipse (even before and after the exact time of the eclipse) without proper viewing glasses has caused us to decide to close our Newman campuses on April 8th, the day of the eclipse. Safety comes first at Newman Academy!

Your campus administrators are sending information on the eclipse and safety measures. Please read it with/for your children.

Let us be informed as an educational community about this grand eclipse and also be safe!
