Centennial City Offices Closed in Observance of Labor Day, September 7

Centennial City offices, including municipal court, will be closed Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. City offices will re-open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 8.

Our partners at the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office are hosting their first-ever Pizza with Police right here in Centennial!

Heads up, Centennial: Fire Restrictions Lowered to Stage 1!

FIRE RESTRICTIONS LOWERED TO STAGE 1 — EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Recent monitoring of fire danger, fuel moisture, and weather conditions shows that conditions have moderated enough to safely ease fire restrictions.

Beginning August 28, 2026, fire restrictions in unincorporated Arapahoe County, Centennial, Foxfield, and Deer Trail have been lowered from Stage 2 to Stage 1 by Sheriff Tyler Brown.

🚫 What’s Still Prohibited:
-- Open burning without a permit from the appropriate fire district
-- Use of personal fireworks

As bears search for food before winter, Centennial residents can help keep them wild by securing trash and other attractants. 🐻

Bears are on the move and looking for high-calorie food as they prepare for winter. As natural food sources become more limited, bears may venture into neighborhoods looking for easy meals — including trash.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife recommends a few simple ways to help keep bears wild and our community safe:

🗑️ Store trash inside a garage, shed or other secure building when possible.
🗑️ Use a bear-resistant trash container if available.
🗑️ Put trash out the morning of pickup, not the night before.
🗑️ Keep trash can lids tightly closed and latched.
🗑️ Never leave bags of trash outside or next to your trash can.
🗑️ Bring empty trash cans back in as soon as possible after collection.

A few small steps can make a big difference in keeping bears from becoming comfortable around homes and neighborhoods.
