As a follow-up to our original post, Anonymous Drug Activity Report Forms are now available in the Town Hall lobby.

The form is completely anonymous and is designed to collect the information officers need to properly follow up on tips while protecting the identity of the reporting individual. Names are not requested or included on the form.

Forms may be picked up or turned in at Town Hall.

Your information could help make a difference in our community.

In alignment with Stage 2 fire restrictions enacted by the Saguache County Sheriff's Department and Rio Grande County Sheriff's Department, the Town of Center will observe these restrictions for public safety.

Individuals caught igniting fireworks may face charges under CRS 18-13-109(2)(a), a Class 6 felony.

On June 14, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Saguache County Dispatch Center received a report of an assault that occurred near the North Crestone Campground.

Law Enforcement advised Dispatch that a male party, later identified as Kris Roberts, had been involved in an assault involving a knife. Law enforcement and EMS responded to the area, and a search was conducted for Roberts.

Roberts is described as approximately 5’08” tall, 170 pounds, and is known to frequent the Crestone/Baca area.

If you see Kris Roberts, **do not attempt to contact or approach him**. Please contact the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office at 719-655-2544 or call 911.

This investigation is ongoing, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.

The Center Police Department has created an ANONYMOUS Drug Activity Report Form to help community members safely report suspected drug activity.

The form is completely anonymous and is designed to collect the information needed for officers to properly follow up on tips while protecting the identity of the reporting individual.

Forms can be picked up or turned in at Town Hall.
