Hello everyone. I’m sick. It’s not terrible, but I lost my voice and won’t be there. Molly can cover, but won’t be there until 5:30. My boss will be there to set up, but doesn’t really know the stuff, so if you could all be helpful in setting up and getting things going until molly can arrive, I’d really appreciate it.

On another note - there is a competition (indoor) coming up that we should discuss going to as a team. It’s just north of Indianapolis, and it’s a two-day competition. Please check it out and let me know if you’re interested.

The Hoosier 690 attracts novice to professional archers from across the USA. This event is hosted by the IFAA & sanctioned by the NFAA. The weekend competition includes the NFAA (5 spot 360) Saturday & Vegas (Vegas 330) round Sunday.

Hello all! I know I promised to get this up a week ago, but it’s been a real week, sorry about that, anyway, here are some upcoming events that I recommend. You are not, by any means, required to sign up for these events.

The 2025 Indoor 300 State Championship - March 15th - this event is particularly good for our younger athletes, as they have both a cub and a Peewee division (10M and 5M distances). The only downside is that it’s not close, it’s in Millersburg which is northeast of Columbus.

2025 NFAA Great Lakes Indoor Sectionals - March 22nd and 23rd - another good one for our younger athletes. Again, the downside is that it’s a bit of a hike - there are four locations all of them up around Akron, and it’s a two day event, so a hotel will be necessary.

There, apparently, is no branch of the indoor nationals in Ohio this year. While disappointing, we do have one happening in Kentucky. This is in Owensboro, and again this is a two-day event, so plan for a hotel room. This isn’t a good choice for our youngest archers, as the distances are all fixed at 20 meters and the targets are all smaller.

There are other branches of the indoor nationals that, while further, aren’t as short notice.

2025 NFAA Indoor National Championships

This is usually a great tournament. It’s huge, the targets are a bit easier (max score per shot is 5) and there’s a ton of vendors. It’s in Chicago and a two-day event, so, again, a hotel is necessary, but I’d highly recommend it.

It’s a bit odd, but it runs concurrently with The Great Chicago Open - this is a good competition for our older athletes. This is a USArchery event and will use the targets we are used to using, but doesn’t make any accommodations for younger shooters, so 20m and 40cm target faces.

I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of all the members of our team who participated in todays competition. Everybody shot their average or better, and a couple of you just plain blew it out of the water. You are the best team anywhere, and I am proud to be your coach.

Remember, a new session starts this week! Get your name on the roster ASAP! The beginning classes and the teams are already full, but there is still plenty of room in the Intermediate and Friends and Family classes.
