Due to a library board meeting this morning at 10 am the library will not be at the Farmer's Market. But we do have a table in front of the library with craft kits, bookmarks, and summer schedules for you to take!

Feel free to come in and shop the book sale as well. Thanks!

I'm super excited for this program this summer! To celebrate the summer reading theme 'Unearth a Story' we will be Unearthing Gems. Children can dig through a huge tub of sand where they can discover crystals, rocks, fossils, and shells! We will learn a little bit about the hidden treasures in the sand and how to "mine" for them!

This is an activity we'll be doing during our Summer Reading Camp in June and I thought it was too much fun not to offer for anyone else!

We are launching a fun, new program at the library this summer for children in Kindergarten - 12th grade, No Bake Club! This program will be led by the teens on our Teen Advisory Board who help plan and prepare for the program. We will be making yummy snacks, learning basic cooking skills, and about basic nutrition.

No Bake Club is a fun food based program where children, K - 12th grade, can learn basic recipes for treats that require no baking, basic cooking skills, and nutrition information.

This year we've partnered with Raising Canes to add to our Summer Reading Challenge!

The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge has 4 components, 2 for everyone of all ages and 2 for kids 12/5th grade and under. The first Reading Challenge children can enter is the Raising Cane's Reading Challenge.
Kids from Age 1 through 5th grade can earn a free kids combo by reading 7 books this summer. Sign up at the library starting on May 25th and pick up a reading tracker, read 7 books, and then turn it in for a Cane's coupon bookmark.

Rules:
- 3rd - 5th graders must read at least 2 chapter books
- Each child may only count one (1) Dav Pilkey book and one (1) Diary of a Wimpy Kid book towards their goal of 7
- Children may earn up to two coupons (one in June & one in July)

The Library’s Annual May Book Sale has begun!

Books are available to browse and purchase with a donation to the library until the end of May! Funds raised will be used for library programs and go to future library projects.
