Champaign County Children's Advocacy Center

Champaign County Children's Advocacy Center Champaign County CAC provides a safe space for abused children, supporting healing, justice, and prevention with community partners.

Together, we help children and families move forward with hope. The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is a community partnership collectively dedicated to a multidisciplinary approach of professionals pursuing the truth in child abuse investigations. Professionals from child welfare, law enforcement, prosecution, victim advocacy agencies, and the medical and mental health communities collaborate to

investigate cases of suspected sexual and serious physical abuse. The CAC is designed to be a welcoming, safe place for children to be heard while protected from further victimization.

Today, Mary and I had the wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and colleagues from the University of Illinois School of Social Work and Fu Jen Catholic University in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

We truly enjoyed our conversations, sharing ideas on a variety of topics, and giving Dr. Wu, Dr. Chuang, and their colleagues a tour of the Champaign County Children’s Advocacy Center.

It is always inspiring to connect with professionals who share the same commitment to protecting and supporting children and families. Thank you for spending time with us today. We look forward to seeing you all again and continuing to learn from one another! University of Illinois School of Social Work

What an amazing six weeks with our YES Program high school interns! 💙

Their final project—a Teen Child Abuse Awareness Campaign—included creating new marketing materials to help educate and raise awareness.

We’re so proud of E & L and will miss them! Check out their incredible work. 👏
