I wanted to share a quick tip on how to prevent Springtime w**ds. (As if people don't have enough Holiday stress already) Now is the perfect time to apply w**d pre-emergent. W**d pre-emergent is applied to all rock and lawn areas, and prevents the w**d seeds that have been blown in all year from germinating with the winter rains. It is available in granular and liquid forms. I recommend Lesco brand granular w**d pre-emergent available at John Deere Landscape Supply locations. There are locations at Power/Warner and University/101. It is easily applied with a hand held broadcast spreader. Most effectively applied before rain in the forecast. It will prevent about 90% of the w**d seeds from germinating this Spring. There are also many w**d abatement/prevention companies out there.
