When buying or selling real estate, the key word is “location.” But, when choosing the right person to represent you and your family in our local government, the mantra to keep close to your heart is “experience, experience, experience.” I believe that I have the most helpful and relevant experience. And, that experience will benefit all of us as Carver County moves into the future!

Please vote for me on November 5th. Visit www.gregboe.com for more information.

I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the Carver County Government Center this past Tuesday, where I attended the Carver County Retiree and Years of Service Recognition celebration. This event was part of the Carver County Employee Appreciation Week. It was nice to visit with many of the friends and professionals I had gotten to know while working in the organization as the Environmental Services Department Manager for the past seven years.

In addition to saying “thank you” to 34 employees who have retired during the past two years, the county also recognized 91 current individuals who have worked within the organization for milestones ranging from 5 to as long as 35 years. Big thanks to all Carver County employees for their hard work and commitment to our residents and businesses!

A certificate of appreciation was presented to me by Jodi Edstrom (Carver County Library Director), and Gayle Degler (Carver County District 1 Commissioner).

I am proud to have served my community in many ways over the years. In this photo I am enjoying some conversation with residents as a Chaska City Council member, during the 2014 River City Days in downtown Chaska.

We all miss our local newspapers, since the Chaska Herald and Chanhassen Villager went away. It is challenging now to know what events are happening in our community, etc. But, I have good news. There are already efforts underway to create new local newspapers in communities!

I attended a meeting tonight to announce the launch of Carver County Local News. Visit https://cclocalnews.org/ to learn more about this effort, how you can help, and to read their Election and Voter Guide!

I attended a Carver / Wright / McLeod County Joint Ditches meeting this morning at the Government Center. Drainage ditch systems are owned by the benefitting landowners and managed by the county in which they are located. Some ditches cross county lines, and those are managed by representatives from multiple counties.

During this meeting, officers were appointed from various county boards, along with new viewers of said ditches. Future meetings were also discussed and scheduled.

While some might not consider this to be glamorous duty, this is just one of the many important roles and responsibilities performed by our county commissioners.

I would be proud to represent you on our County Board, and I would welcome your vote on November 5th.

I was happy to volunteer with our final Carver County Fix-It Clinic of the year this past Saturday in Chanhassen.

Carver County Environmental Services has partnered with A Better Society (a local non-profit) since 2022, to host Fix-it Clinics in our communities. As the former Environmental Services Department Manager, I was proud to support that ongoing collaborative effort.

During these events, skilled volunteers help attendees by fixing a variety of items including electronics, household appliances, bicycles, clothing, and small engines. Our Fix-It Clinics can teach people valuable troubleshooting and basic repair skills.

Fix-it Clinics offer a great way to get an important item fixed, while also learning how to fix things yourself. And, that kind of knowledge will allow those items you care about to remain useful rather than being thrown away, thereby reducing the amount of material ending up in our landfills.

Carver County hosts three Fix-it Clinics each year. Information on our Fix-it Clinic schedule for 2025 will be available soon at https://www.carvercountymn.gov/departments/public-services/environmental-services/reuse/fix-maintain

Big thanks to our many volunteers and participants from this year.

I hope to see you next year!
