Helping Children Worldwide is strengthening communities in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries in the world, by providing vulnerable children and their families with opportunities for education, health care, and spiritual mentoring. The programs at the Child Rescue Centre and Mercy Hospital are especially focused on education, family stability, maternal and infant mortality, and childhood malnutrition. By partnering with local government and child advocacy organizations in Sierra Leone, we help children and families achieve their wonderful, God-given potential. Join us today to transform lives and communities!
The Child Rescue Centre (CRC) supports nearly 600 vulnerable children and youth in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries in the world, by providing for their education, health care, and spiritual mentoring. Our programs help struggling families keep their children in school, so that they can become self-sufficient leaders in their communities and in their nation. For just $25 a month, you can help a child reach their awesome God-given potential.
Mercy Hospital’s mission is to improve infant, child, and maternal health by providing holistic, community-focused care. The hospital serves the second largest city in Sierra Leone with a trained and dedicated medical staff, a laboratory, and a fully stocked pharmacy, providing care to thousands of patients each year, regardless of ability to pay. Mercy’s reach extends beyond the hospital and into the surrounding villages through community-based clinics and education programs, including nutrition clinics, prenatal care, malaria testing and treatment, and confidential HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.
