Wind Calculator returns true and apparent wind – speed and direction – using the ship's heading and speed over ground. Anemometers on board of a ship often measure apparent wind. This calculator lets you quickly convert to true wind and vice versa. When the true wind is calculated, this calculator shows information about the sea state, like force in Beaufort scale and wave height.
