Venturing Crew 505

Venturing Crew 505 Our Crew focuses on developing leadership skills through high adventure actives. Young men and women (14-20) are encouraged to join us!

Chartered by the American Legion, Crew 505 is the Orange District’s Centennial Crew, founded in 2010 and named in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Like the American Legion we are deeply seated in our community, mutual helpfulness, patriotism, honor and tradition. Our Crew and their families consider it a privilege to have the chartered support of our Veterans. Crew 5

05 was named in honor of Troop 5, established 1928, the first Boy Scout Troop ever chartered in Chapel Hill, NC. Currently, we partake in team-building activities and overnight camping trips all across North Carolina and surrounding areas. We meet on Wednesday nights and our meeting usually concludes with the tradition of going to TCBY for frozen yogurt and ice cream.
