Jay C. Block This page is for you the citizen to have direct access to me. If you have any questions, please send. Your access to me is how we fix our state together.

I believe in continuing to serve our community by bringing common sense solutions to solve our complex problems. I look forward to listening to you and advocating for you while working with private industry to build a robust economic growth plan. We must ensure we balance our growth with environmental concerns to preserve our beautiful state for future generations. Our first responders are a high

priority and I will fight to fully fund our first responders to ensure they are well trained and well equiped. Lastly, I believe government should only play a small role in our lives and believe our citizens need to play a vital role shaping the future of our community to ensure a safe and economically vibrant state. Lastly, my goal is to provide you information through this page and other venues. I need you to participate across our government. This is how we will make the biggest impact to leave our state better than we found it. God Bless!

Another busy week serving beautiful District 12. On Tuesday Pacific Fusion broke ground. This is huge for New Mexico. They are an energy company developing a commercial, pulser-driven pulsed magnetic fusion system to achieve net facility energy gain. While they are still in the R&D phase, this will be a game changer for the country and New Mexico is leading the way.

Part of my press release for Pacific Fusion:
Senator Block emphasized the project's importance to both the state's energy future and its defense industry ties.

"Fusion energy isn't just about the power grid, it's also about our national security," said Senator Block. "Having cutting-edge fusion technology developed and manufactured right here in New Mexico strengthens our role in both the clean energy economy and our defense capabilities. This is the type of company we should be working every day to attract and support."

"We should be doing everything we can to bring more companies like Pacific Fusion to New Mexico," Block added. "High-paying jobs, a sustainable energy future, and stronger national security all come from projects like this one. That's a win for every New Mexican."

I also was asked to speak in Los Alamos about New Mexico's role in national security and how it effects our economic development amd growth. The Nuclear Forum had leaders from around the country to discuss energy, technology, research, and national security.

Yesterday I was on KKOB radio discussing politics, policy, and more. Always a treat to be there. Additionally, I attended the 5th Annual Association Excellence Awards to celebrate business impacts in our communities.

Lastly to close out the week is the most important part. Constituent services with phone calls, emails, and meetings helping the phenomenal people of beautiful district 12. Once again, I am honored to serve you.

Some people have asked about pictures of the facility. I actually posted them to some questions in the previous post. Funny thing happened when I posted pics to some comments, they deleted their comment causing my pics to be deleted. I guess it didn't fit their narrative.

This morning I visited the Otero County Processing Center to meet with staff and some of the detainees. The facility is exceptionally clean and well maintained with detainees and staff working side-by-side . Here's just some of what I saw:
iPads in each bay for family FaceTime when they want
Operational phones in the bays
Bakery
Very good food made by staff and detainees
Mental health counselors
Legal assistance and immigration court on site
Dentist visit once a week, or they go off-site if needed
Medical staff on site with doc's coming in
Barbershop detainees operate
Commissary
Gardening
Religious activities
Musical instrument instruction
Meditation/yoga room
Laundry facilities
Four hours of recreation & fitness center every day
Painting/arts & crafts
Library and internet
And more.

Detainees average about 120 days in the facility before they are deported after their legal due process.

The staff treats the detainees with professionalism, dignity, and respect. Watching the warden and staff interacting and walking freely among the detainees is telling. The detainees feel safe and treated well.

Some of these facilities are better than what I served in when I was in uniform or deployed to Afghanistan. This place is better than any county jail in New Mexico without a doubt.

Lastly, when Rep Gabe Vasquez was there recently, I am told he was very unprofessional to the staff and refused to listen to any facts even when presented with them to his face. He went in with an attitude to score political points. He was corrected so many times by the staff he haf a tantrum and left the facility and lied his ass off. Complete jackass. He owes the staff an apology.

Bottom line, the detainees are treated extremely well compared to some of veterans and inmates in county facilities. They have many amenities, the most important is the care and respect at this facility from the warden on down. I hope other elected officials see it for themselves. Pics coming shortly.

Deb Haaland, Melanie Stansbury, and the rest of the communists and crazies that have hijacked the Democrat Party (now the DSA) are supporting a child-abusing ra**st criminal illegal alien over woman and children.

You can’t make this up.

Save our state, vote Red in November

Watch this and ask yourself who the victim is here.
A woman attacked in front of her kids. Children who will carry that for the rest of their lives.

The man responsible is in ICE custody, and somehow he became the victim in the eyes of democrats.

That is not compassion. That is a party that has lost the plot on who it is supposed to protect.

Deb Haaland would rather protect a ra**st, pe*****le, and violent criminal over women. She vilified the arrest of this scumbag instead of thanking ICE for getting this evil piece of $%&/ off the streets and out of our country.

When Deb says she protects women, she is lying.

🚨BREAKING: Deb Haaland & Far-Left Democrats are DEFENDING a man who crawled over two young children to sexually assault their mother!

Day 2 of the Legislative Health and Human Services committee here in Gallup. We had an in-depth brief and discussion on SB3, the most comprehensive mental health and substance abuse bill I helped write and sponsor. The regions are gathering their data for their reports and I look forward to seeing the data. Also yesterday, we were briefed on a bill that will target taxing alcohol even more. We are already taxed at high levels across b**r, w**e, and spirits. This will hurt businesses amd punishes people. Let the state pay for any increases instead of going back to the people all the time. Thankfully, I was sitting next to Rep Lundstrom, a Democrat from Gallup. She asked some tough questions and is adamantly against the bill as well.

I was honored to speak yesterday and meet so many veteran small business owners at their monthly meeting at the Ironwood Kitchen in our beautiful district 12!

I want to thank the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce and other organizations helping our vets start their businesses.

Did you know we have over 13,000 veteran-owned small businesses? AWESOME!!!

Vets are loving their state parks passes, property tax reductions but want their pensions exempt from state tax. I will bring that back again this session.
