It’s National Overdose Prevention Day (see below). Did you know that Chardon FD and most local EMS organizations have free Narcan kits available for those persons needing it to reverse an opioid overdose in a friend, relative, or stranger. This program is part of Project D.A.W.N.

You can also stop by the Geauga Board of Mental Health today until 6pm to pick up a Narcan kit and get more info (see below)

We had the pleasure of doing a demo of our new drones that were purchased with a sizable donation from the Chardon Eagles Chardon F.O.E. 2261 . Our firefighters had the opportunity to give the kids a tour of the fire engine, eat and play some corn hole with the members and their families. Thanks for the invitation!
* The drone was put to use only a few hours later in Middlefield for a search mission.
