Today, we remember the brave men who, 82 years ago, stormed the beaches of Normandy and waded into the waters off the coast of France in the fight to defeat one of the greatest evils the world has ever known. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom changed the course of history. We honor those who gave their all and remember the price paid for the liberties we enjoy today.

Incredibly proud to have been a part of bringing this beautiful waterfront park to life!!

As Chair of the City of Charleston’s Recreation committee for two years during my service, this was exactly what I was committed to bringing to our community.

Because of the City of Charleston and Greenbelt funding from Charleston County TST, this park is now a reality!

Don’t wait…. Go visit now! Bring the kids and the pups 🐾 and enjoy this beautiful piece of James Island that will now be treasured forever!
