What an extraordinary five years it has been here at Red Barn. We have had the honor of crafting some pretty magical experiences for a variety of diverse clients and guests.

From corporate office catering to lakeside family barbecues, anniversary parties, fundraisers for our local school, memorial dinners, blowout birthday parties, ticketed guest chef pop-ups, smash burgers and creemees through our Covid window, farm tours, cycling club pitstops, Barn Boxes, Sunday Suppers and more. It’s been an incredible tapestry of hospitality pursuits that have made us feel deeply appreciated and strongly connected to our little community. We truly can’t thank you enough.

With one last event, we sent a lovely couple into their next chapter together as they celebrated their vows and embarked on their newest journey together. Our fourth wedding (!) - and a seminal moment for our own little family.

As of Monday, September 2nd, Red Barn Kitchen is closed for business as we move into a new chapter ourselves - albeit not very far away. No sadness here- just gratitude, as we pack up and move to Shelburne for a chance to build new memories and experiences!

We are so grateful to all of you for supporting our little barn project - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made the dream come true!

It’s time for new horizons, continued connection and a shared, deep appreciation for this little family unit we have!

Boxes are getting packed and our amazing kitchen is headed to a new home, to help someone else live out their dream.

We will see you around the bend. Be good to one another and LIVE DELICIOUSLY. 💞

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, FRIENDS! 💥

We’ve been a little quiet on the socials, as this spring has found us juggling an increase in professional (“real job”) obligations, sooooo many kids soccer, baseball and yes- even basketball tournaments/games, hustling with ample RBK catering engagements AND trying to put in some solid time into the gardens…sigh.

This doesn’t leave us with much time for chillin’, although we certainly aren’t complaining. Too blessed to be stressed as they say, but we have certainly been realizing that we have HUMAN LIMITS.

So, this weekend we are kicking back, focusing on what needs to get accomplished, slowly ticking off the checklist but also breathing a bit.

Let this be a good reminder to us all, that none of us have anything to prove. Life is busy, full and even frenetic at times. Give yourself grace. Get outside. Stand in the sun. Hike a mountain. Paddle into the twilight. Crack a cold can of something that soothes you. Defuse, decompress and discover the solitude and peace that “undoing” can provide. Socials be dammed.
Build it better.

Not sure when we will resume normal social media activities, but we are thinking of you, the kick off to summer and the fallen heroes that sacrificed everything so we could all get an extra day to do just that - prioritize our perspective on it all.

A little celebratory and party for and team and their merry pranksters last week. The theme was “Hi-Low Farm Fun”. 😂

Revelry, joy and lots of laughter ensued. Just the way we like it. Shout out to .food and breath-of-fresh-air and front of house dynamo, Tabi, for helping make the dream a reality- and of course for gorgeous daffodil arrangements. 🌼

Red Barn events are where it’s at. Love this little barn. Love feeding you. Thanks for allowing us the honor. 🙏🏼

Wha an evening! 🎉

Last night saw the second annual Red Barn Feast Of Seven Fishes, and what a time it was! 🐟

Gorgeous product once again from our friends ! A festive room! Sparkling wines, seasonal mocktails, pasta made from local rye, decadent budino, robust camaraderie and little bit of joy. And doesn’t our world need more of that?… 🎄

Merry Christmas to one and all. Reset. Recharge. And recalibrate your spirit for 2024. It’s gonna be a good one. We can feel it. 🙏🏼💕

💫 T H A N K FU L 💫

We are so filled with gratitude for our little community and this little corner of The Champlain Valley we call home.

Despite a horrific growing season, we were fortunate enough to have more events this past summer than ever before - both on-site and off-site. We met so many new faces. We cooked some incredible food. We shared our version of hospitality with you and we gave back to our community in meaningful ways. For all of this, we are THANKFUL beyond words. We are thankful for YOU, Vermont.

As our season slows down for the winter, we will announce some remaining events for 2023 and await whatever 2024 will bring with open arms.

We have lots of private events that will carry us through until spring and a reminder to those of you searching for a unique venue - there’s nothing quite like a Red Barn event. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss.

It’s been an INSANE month here - but we wanted to send out a special shout out to the team.

Hosting them last week for this awesome event was one of our favorite nights!

Family recipes. Seasonal inspirations. Mountains of salumi. Grated cheese. Vino da Tavola.

Memories were made. New friendships were forged. Stomachs were filled.

We call that a success around here. Feeding you feels so good, Vermont.
