We need your support in the Republican Primary on March 3rd! Early voting is already underway. Electing good judges is so important to the judicial process and keeping our country grounded in the Constitution. Casey is a judge who interprets the Constitution for what it says and doesn't try to create new laws by manipulating the Constitution. So, let your voice be heard on March 3rd. Please vote to keep Judge Casey Viser.

Before leaving the courthouse today I glanced up on the wall behind my desk at this rendering by Jerry McJunkins: Portrait, Courtroom and Sketch Illustrator. It’s hard to believe I was sworn in as a Judge almost 6 1/2 years ago by Justice Bob Edmunds, with my lovely wife and children by my side, after introductions by my longtime friend Congressman Richard Hudson and my former law partner and mentor Bill Diehl.

Across the country on January 9, citizens take the lead on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

Law Enforcement Officers of every rank and file have chosen a profession that puts their life on the line every day for their communities. They’ve answered a call to public service that is demanding and often unappreciated. On National Law Enforcement Day, we have an opportunity to thank them for their service and offer a token of respect.

Thank you to all of our LEOs for your service!

Throwback Thursday:

Many of you know that, in my courtroom, Wednesdays are "Bow Tie Wednesdays." I've never once purchased a bow tie for myself, but somehow I have amassed a large collection from friends and family who apparently decided I am a "bow tie kind of guy." My wife and children felt I needed a specific outlet for displaying the vast array of bow ties in my closet. This pic was taken around this time last year, soon after I became a judge and my wife and children declared Wednesday as the day for bow ties. Note the state of NC on the tie...thanks, mom.

Why YOU and your friends should vote for Judge Casey Viser:

EXPERIENCE
Prior to being selected by the Bar, and ultimately appointed by the Governor in 2013, Judge Viser was a partner in a Charlotte firm and spent 13 years practicing civil litigation and criminal law. His diverse background as both a civil litigator and criminal trial attorney prior to becoming a Judge makes him uniquely qualified to preside in District Court.

FAIRNESS
Judge Viser is impartial, listens carefully, examines the facts, and rules according to the law in each individual case fairly and efficiently.

INTEGRITY
Judge Viser knows the law, and also knows human frailty. He will never attempt to “legislate from the bench,” but rather apply the laws as written, while treating everyone with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.

COMMUNITY
Born and raised in Charlotte, Judge Viser and his wife are actively involved in various organizations and raising three young children. He understands people, and what is important to Mecklenburg County – protecting our families, and preserving justice for all.

Please like and share.

Thank you for your encouragement and support. I am excited and energized by your contributions, offers of assistance, and well wishes, and I am looking forward to continuing my service to Mecklenburg County as a District Court Judge.

So many of you have asked, "What can I do to help?" In response:

1) Volunteer -- the Committee to Keep Judge Casey Viser is seeking volunteers for various activities between now and election day. I know how valuable your time is, and I am extremely grateful for every minute you give to the campaign. http://caseyviser.com/volunteer

2) Request a yard sign, bumper magnet, and/or "Keep Judge Casey Viser" VISOR...and display them prominently, now through November 4th! Send an email to [email protected].

3) Spread the word -- Judicial contests are often overlooked by voters. Phone calls, emails, and Facebook shares from you will make the difference in this election. Tell your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family members: don't forget to go to the end of the ballot and mark your vote to Keep Judge Casey Viser!

4) Contribute financially -- Your generous contributions enable us to get the message of experience and qualifications to voters throughout Mecklenburg County. http://caseyviser.com/contribute

I appreciate your support!

Enjoyed meeting Penny Nance last night at the Star Spangled Sunday, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner by Francis Scott Key, at First Baptist Church. Penny is the President of Concerned Women for America. She's an extraordinary woman, and incredibly engaging. As she said, "if you don't speak up, others are going to speak for you. And I guarantee, you won't like what they have to say."

So, get energized, and vote.
