Cramerton Parks and Recreation

Cramerton Parks and Recreation The Cramerton Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for over 180 acres of park and open space within Town Limits.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens through the development of recreation facilities, services and programs that promote a lifestyle of wellness, physical activities, and special events for all ages We manage five Town owned Parks, maintain 10 greenways and trails totaling over three miles and are responsible for six fishing and observation piers and six river access to the South Fork Catawba River. The department is responsible for multiple youth sports programs, community events, fitness programs and summer camps annually along with operating three separate indoor facilities and the seasonal Cramerton Recreation Public Pool.

Join us tomorrow at 6pm for Restorative Yoga or Friday at 10:45am for Golden Years Fitness! Classes are in the Community Center.

Restorative Yoga is open to Cramerton residents and/or YMCA members.

Join us Saturday, September 12, for a full day of nature, community, and fun as we celebrate Arbor Day in Cramerton!

Here’s what’s happening:

7:00–10:00 AM | Youth Fishing Derby
Location: Goat Island Park
Youth ages 17 & under can enjoy a catch-and-release fishing derby, awards, light snacks, and fun! Sponsored in part by the Catawba Riverkeeper. Registration is available under the small shelter. Bring your fishing rod and bait!

9:00 AM | Goat Island Dog Park Ribbon Cutting
Location: 305 Greenwood Place, Belmont
Bring your pup and help us celebrate with giveaways and a morning of fun!

9:00 AM–12:00 PM | Free Community Document Shredding
Location: Town Hall
Safely dispose of sensitive documents while helping protect the environment through paper recycling.

11:00 AM | Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony & Dedication
Location: Pocket Park connecting the Timberlake neighborhood and the Courtyards of Cramerton (intersection of Timberlane Drive and Cimarron Boulevard)
Join us for a special tree planting ceremony honoring Wil Neumann. This tree will be planted in recognition of Wil’s distinguished record of public service, leadership, community involvement, and dedication to the Town of Cramerton.

7:30 PM | FREE Outdoor Movie
Location: Centennial Center
End the day under the stars with a free showing of Hidden Rivers of Southern Appalachia, presented in partnership with the Town of Cramerton and Catawba Riverkeeper. The documentary explores the remarkable rivers and streams of Southern Appalachia and the people working to protect them.
