Asian Student Union at UVA We strive to unite, advocate, and empower through social, political, cultural, and educational avenues.

The mission of the Asian Student Union is to serve the University of Virginia and Charlottesville community on behalf of the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community. We host a variety of events and initiatives related to APIDA issues and also uplift initiatives in place by other minority groups. We operate through various committees, such as Advocacy, APIDAHM, Outreach, Marketing, P

Please join us for the start of APISAAHM with Flourish: A Cultural Fashion Showcase. March 30, 2-5pm in Garden XI, the APISAAHM and Historian committee of ASU will be having a showcase of different cultures and their traditional clothing. Set up with a photobooth area and snacks, start spring off with creating new connections and reflecting on our different cultures and the clothing that is associated with them. Be on the look out for our Zine afterwards!

⭐️ Ramadan is about spiritual reconnection and self-discipline—it’s a time to reject capitalism and consumerism and instead embrace community and sustainability. In light of this, we encourage people to be mindful of their impact by adopting sustainable practices, such as bringing tupperware/containers for food, and by supporting local chef Neta 🌱
