NeW at the University of Virginia The premiere organization for female, collegiate conservatives at the University of Virginia was founded in 2004!

The Network of Enlightened Women (NeW) is the premier collegiate organization for young, conservative women. Started by Karin Agness Lips in 2004, NeW has grown to more than 30 collegiate chapters across the country. Aiming to promote conservative principles on college camp

uses, combat liberal intellectual domination, promote intellectual diversity, and empower women to be their best selves, NeW at the University of Virginia puts on events, activities, and engages in campus activism to promote these conservative principles. Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have, University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency. It is a separate and independent organization, which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
