For everyone who has been following along and cheering for our Library, we're thrilled to share that this email came in response to our application!

"Your project grant application for Chesterfield for the amount of $200,000.00 has been submitted to the Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD).

You will be contacted once your application has been reviewed."

Now to wait until the fall for the Grant awards!

Update: Happy to share that the Article supporting funding toward the Library Addition passed unanimously, and with applause, last night! Many thanks to all that could attend.

The Library's addition to house a Handicapped Accessible Restroom is on the warrant at tonight's Town Meeting at 7pm. We hope our many patrons can attend!

PETER FERONY
1986 - 2020

Peter grew up in West Chesterfield on Ireland St. spending time at The Ireland Street Apple Orchard (now a thing of the past) owned then by Fred and Millie Chick.

Peter leaves with us a special gift of his delightful poems and stories. You will find a gentle smile and soft chuckle among his words. His book, 'A Perfect Day' has been graciously donated by his mother, Ricki Chick.

Here are the architectural plans for a Handicapped Accessible Restroom addition to make our Library compliant with federal ADA requirements. Trustees are working on a State ADA grant to assist with funding, but your support of the project will help make that happen. Stay tuned for a warrant article at a future town meeting and help get the word out! There are flyers at the library if you have questions. Or email Jennifer for a copy at [email protected]

Our little library certainly does a continuously brisk business.
The CWMARS weekly Wednesday delivery is just one aspect of it.
Here, our faithful delivery man, Mr. Bill, brings 6 bins in and takes 7 bins out. Many of our items and returns en route to other libraries along with patron requests and returns arriving.
Healthy use of our library keeps us busy!

A good time was had by the slime makers! The library plans to elaborate on our festivities next year as Halloween falls on a Saturday. Not to be missed! Fun activities and treats for all!
