Today was an extra-special first day for Ms. Angelina because it was her very first day as a West G bus driver!🎉🚌 Welcome to the West G Transportation family, Ms. Angelina! We are so excited to have you behind the wheel! You did an excellent job today!

And right beside her is Ms. Michele, who brings an incredible 20 YEARS of experience as a school bus driver! ❤️

From a first-day driver to a 20-year veteran, this photo represents something pretty special about our transportation team the experience, friendship, laughter, and support that keep us rolling every day.

🚌❤️ First Day of School Fun at West G Transportation!❤️🚌

We kicked off the first day of school by taking some fun pictures with our amazing bus drivers and we’re excited to introduce you to the people behind the wheel!

🚌 ’Twas the Night Before the First Day of School 🚌

’Twas the night before school, and throughout West G, the buses stood ready, as ready could be.

The routes had been checked, every turn, every stop, every time, with hopes that tomorrow would run like clock work.

The drivers were home, getting ready for bed, while visions of yellow buses danced in their heads. Their alarms were all set for an early wake-up, with coffee on standby. ☕

The buses were fueled, and the radios checked, the routes had been driven, the details inspected. Melody thinking I sure hope I didn’t forget even the smallest of details.

StopFinder was ready, WayFinder too! The families prepared, yet some of are friends wished for summer to be longer.

Tomorrow, before most are starting their day, our director, dispatcher, mechanics, drivers and aides will already be well on their way.

They’ll greet nervous students with smiles at the door and welcome back faces they’ve transported many times before.

There may be some hiccups there usually are, a missed turn, a late bus, a line of stopped cars.

A student may wonder, “Is this really my seat?” And someone will surely forget what stop time to meet. 😄

But through every challenge, remember this part:
What makes West G Transportation special is heart. ❤️

Because we're more than the buses that travel each road.

We're the people entrusted with a precious load.

We’re often the first smile children see,
and the last one they see before being home with family.

So tonight, get some rest. Tomorrow we begin a new chapter. The best one yet!

A brand new school year and we're ready again.

🚌 SCHOOL STARTS NEXT WEEK!🚌

Many of you saw our buses out on the roads yesterday as our drivers completed their practice runs and prepared to welcome students back. 💛

As we head into a new school year, we’re asking our entire community to help us keep our students safe.

🛑 When the RED LIGHTS are flashing, STOP.🛑

Those flashing red lights mean a child may be getting on or off the bus. A few seconds of patience can make all the difference.

Please slow down, stay alert, put the distractions away, and watch for our school buses especially during morning and afternoon hours.

Our drivers are watching out for our kids. We need you to watch out for them, too.

❤️ See the reds. STOP. A child’s life depends on it.
