Today, the WAB kicks off their convention, Hall of Fame and Awards banquet in Green River. This marks my 30th year with the WAB. I was thinking about all of the fun conventions we’ve had with so many great broadcasters. The WABle (WAB living on the edge) award, the Saliva Sisters, floating Flaming Gorge with steaks on the shore with Jim Angell playing his guitar and singing, trips to Deadwood (bus #2 was a little rowdy) and Black Hawk, white water rafting in Jackson, the Cody Cattle Company, multiple song writers at our banquets, 48 Hall of Fame inductees counting this year, many Senators and House member appearances, and lots and lots of laughs along the way. Tomorrow night we will honor all of the great work broadcasters do throughout the year. Looking forward to another family reunion, I mean……convention! Laura Grott, President.

"I’ve spent a lot of time lately writing about the challenges in our business—and they’re real. No question. But this was a reminder of something just as real that doesn’t get talked about enough--Why we all got into this in the first place!"
