What do you think?
https://www.chicagomag.com/city-life/is-the-loop-a-neighborhood/
It may be the fastest-growing part of the city, but it lacks much of what makes a traditional Chicago neighborhood.
As we grow the Chicago Loop Neighbors we plan on hosting a speaker every other month starting February 9th at 6pm.
For February, we welcome Michael Edwards, President and CEO of Chicago Loop Alliance to talk about the 2022 strategies to accelerate the recovery of the Chicago Loop. This will include a discussion of efforts around improved safety, public health, economic recovery and advocacy with a goal of enhancing individual and business investment in the Loop.

Chief Judge Timothy Evans CIRCUIT COURT OF COOK COUNTY
VIOLENT CRIME & CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM
IN COOK COUNTY
Thursday, January 27 | 11:30 a.m.
The Union League Club of Chicago’s public affairs forum,
[email protected], invites you and your guests to join us
when, as part of our series on Violent Crime and Criminal
Justice Reform in Cook County, we welcome The Honor-
able Timothy C. Evans for a major policy address.
With more than 1,000 homicides, 3,800 shootings, and
1,800 carjackings, 2021 was Cook County’s most violent
year since the 1990s. Police conduct, reduced prosecutions,
the granting of bail, official statements, shrinking or re-
orienting police forces, anti-police public sentiment, absent
parents, and recently enacted reform measures are among
myriad factors intensifying attention on the administration of justice in the County.
Chief Judge Evans, in his 21st year overseeing one of the largest unified court
systems in the world, with more than 400 judges, will offer perspectives, insights
and prescriptions, in the form of a policy announcement. He became a Full Circuit
Judge in 1992. He led Domestic Relations and the Law Division before his election
as Chief Judge by his peers in 2001.
The event begins with registration at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon begins at 12:00 p.m.
sharp followed by Chief Judge Evans’ remarks, and audience Q&A. We will adjourn
by 1:30 p.m. Dress code: Smart casual. Cost: $35 per person.
This program is being presented in partnership with the Subcommittees on State &
Local Government, Health & Life Sciences, and Administration of Justice.
To register, please visit http://www.chiefjudgeevans.eventbrite.com.
