Last Friday, I joined Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce and Gladstone Park Neighborhood Association for their annual tree lighting ceremony. This year, the tree is called the "Tree of Hope." The CPS school serves students ages 14 to 22 with intellectual disabilities and impaired adaptive functioning. “We really want to always look at what our students can do and not what they can’t do," its principal said.
Community members are invited to the first meeting of the proposed formation of the North Park Village Nature Center Park Advisory Council.
The first virtual meeting is TONIGHT, Thursday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m.

The City of Chicago’s winter overnight parking ban goes into effect today, December 1. This ban restricts parking on critical roadways between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. every day of the week, regardless of snow. This ensures crews can quickly salt and plow the streets during inclement weather.
