Experience a feast-for-the-eyes re-creation of Belle Époque Paris, the reintroduction of Cancan into Parisian nightlife and a dazzling tribute to the art of Jean Renoir's father, painter Auguste Renoir, and the other Impressionists. Described by the director “as a piece of tapestry, a composition in colour,” the film is a high-kicking backstage musical set against the founding of the famed Moulin Rouge cabaret in the late 1880s.✨💃

#TerredeJeux2024 | Today all around the world we celebrated D-500 to @Paris2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games with various sports events.
In Chicago, 2 events took place, a swimming competition organized by Lycée Français de Chicago 🏊♀️ and a rowing race 🚣♂️.
Watch the recap video of our rowing race that took place on the Chicago River with coach Trish Brubaker and her teams from Lincoln Park Boat Club Chicago and UChicago Crew.
A fantastic event in partnership with the Paris commitee of Chicago Sister Cities International.
Did you know that a Chicago-Paris #RowingExchange has been created in 2011. Thanks to Chicago-Paris Sister Cities and the Aviron Marne & Joinville Rowing Club in Ville de Joinville le Pont, a team of UChicago Crew rowed in La Traversée de Paris in 2013 (The 27th Crossing of Paris), an event that gathers over 1,000 rowers from all over the world, and in 2016, the Lincoln Park Boat Club hosted rowers from Paris during a half marathon event, making it the first year the event saw an international presence.
