This past Friday, we celebrated our children and families with an End of the Year Carnival Celebration! 🎡🎟️

Our students enjoyed carnival games, won prizes, and made memories with their families and friends. From ring toss and skee ball to cotton candy and pizza, the afternoon was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of carnival fun!

A huge thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, children, and families for making this celebration so special. We loved coming together to celebrate a wonderful summer and kick off the excitement of a new school year! 💙

The Free Farmers Market is a monthly event at Onward House, where families can pick up fresh, high-quality produce sourced through our partnership with Common Market and made possible by the Reva and David Logan Foundation.

Since September, the Free Farmers Market has served approximately 250 families each month. The combined format was piloted earlier this year, and the response from the community made clear that it was worth doing again.

Emilio Araujo, our Director of Development and Communications, spoke about the Free Farmer’s Market Program on Fox 32 Chicago on Saturday, July 28, 2026. Check it out here!
