The Kerryman Bar & Restaurant is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie with at least 2 years of experience.

All applicants must have open availability during the summer season and a passion for cooking and serving our guests.

The Kerryman is looking for a passionate chef who will view this job as a career that may lead to a promotion 6-12 months after the successful candidates start date. All applicants should be comfortable doing basic order sheets and be proficient in checking food temperatures and food safety checklists.

Hourly rate will depend on the candidates level of experience. We value our staff and a significant number of our chefs have worked with us since we opened in 2005.

Kendall alumnus, Deb Silberstein, is looking for chef volunteers for 2 upcoming shows at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. She is in charge of the Main Chef Stage, and needs chefs to work full time shifts for her prep kitchen. They will provide parking at McCormick Place, as well as breakfast and lunch. The shifts cannot be split up due to logistics.

International Housewares Show:
March 9-March 13, 7:30am-6pm each day

NRA Show:
May 18-22, 7:30am-5pm each day

DePaul University has invited Kendall College students and alumni to their upcoming Career Fair! (Registration link below)

Doors will open at 10:30am and close at 1:00pm.

The companies that typically attend are hospitality in nature, but often hire for positions in all departments, such as: human resources, sales, accounting, operations, events, finance, marketing, manager in training programs, and more. There is a wide variety of hotels, restaurants, private clubs and event companies represented at the fair.

Students/alumni are encouraged to bring an updated résumé capitalizing on both their professional qualifications and educational experience. A dress code is not specified, but professional attire is recommended.

Some notable companies that have registered are Blue Plate Catering, Gibsons Restaurant Group, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Worldwide, Marriott International, and many more!
