Thank you to everyone who has reached out to our family through cards, phone calls, and social media regarding the passing of our father. Your thoughts and prayers have truly helped my brother Jim and I, and our families, get through these difficult times.
Many friends have reached out in regards to a service for our father. Unfortunately with the current state of COVID-19, we will be having a small private family service to honor our father. However, St. Edwards has given us the opportunity to livestream the service for those who would like to participate in the service for our father.
The service will take place Friday December 11, 2020 at 10:30 am.
Thank you again for reaching out! Stay safe and healthy!
You can view the service using either of these two links:

My whole family is saddened to announce the passing of our father, John B. D’Amico. He passed peacefully surrounded by family on December 2, 2020. My father bravely fought cancer, all the way to the end. His love for family and friends, close and extended, near and far, was a priority, and he spoke of you all often. We will cherish so many wonderful memories with him. Nobody could tell a story, quite like my father could. He was an absolutely wonderful husband to Marie “Cookie” (Laurino) D’Amico, a father to my brother Jim and I, a father-in-law to Christine and Dawn, and a grandfather to Jennifer, Michelle, Johnny, and Jimmy. He will always be remembered, as a great coach to many, at St. Edwards, and a true outdoorsman. He has always been an intricate part and motivator for the 39th Ward Democratic Organization. He always thought of this Ward Organization as his extended family. We will never forget you, we love you, and we miss you! Rest in Peace Dad!
All Illinois Secretary of State Driver Services Facilities will be closed until December 7. Certain services, such as renewing license plate stickers or renewing valid ID cards for those ages 22-64, may be done online. Visit cyberdriveillinois.com for more information.
