This year has no comparison. We have lived through some powerful moments in history, we continue to face a global pandemic, and we are uncertain about what is going to happen next. We are also learning to live in new ways. Most of us have spent more time at home than we ever did before. Some of us became tech experts because we had no other choice. Those of us with school-aged children have been helping them to navigate all the things they are feeling while doing our best to set up remote learning centers in our homes. We have learned to laugh about the silly things and appreciate the small things.
This past year also taught us to lean on each other and to seek help when we need it. We saw our community hit extremely hard by the pandemic, but we also witnessed strength and resiliency and the desire to help one another. In April, we established the Little Village Emergency Assistance Fund to get cash into the hands of neighbors who did not qualify for a stimulus check or unemployment benefits. After pooling the many generous contributions that we received, we were able to support nearly 800 families.
Thank you so much for your role in making this possible. As we get ready to celebrate the end-of-the-year holidays, we ask you, once again, to contribute to the Little Village Emergency Fund so that we can continue to support community members in need during what will likely be a hard winter.

Research shows that most women-owned businesses stall between $50,000 and $100,000 annually (~88% of businesses). While this number often replaces the income from working for an employer, more can be done to build wealth!
Women have a more difficult time accessing outside capital (e.g. in 2018, women received just 2.2% of VC dollars investment and 3% of angel investment dollars), making growth without specialized guidance much tougher.
The 9-week accelerator program supports women business owners with a curriculum designed and delivered by a board of 40 successful women entrepreneurs.
