Cook County Government is partnering with the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, National Able Network and the Illinois Department Of Employment Security to host a Veterans Virtual Hiring Event on Monday, July 12 - and the registration deadline is Thursday, July 8. Employment opportunities include roles in technology, healthcare, finance and other growing fields. Workshops on resume building and interviewing skills will be offered prior to the event. Cook County Government announces three RFQs under "View Current Contract Opportunities" for Construction Management Services. These CM teams will also have design management responsibilities. President Toni Preckwinkle has announced the release of the Cook County Government's Clean Energy Plan to work towards goals set in 2013:
⛅ Reduce carbon emissions and switch to 100% renewable electricity by 2030
⛅ Make all county-owned facilities carbon neutral by 2050.
The plan will aim to:
⚡ REDUCE carbon emissions
⚡ MAINTAIN emissions reductions
⚡ RENEW sustainable energy generation contracts and agreements
⚡ SUPPORT with new policies and procedures
