General information
New Life for Girls is a Christian discipleship program for women. Founded in 1972, New Life for Girls’ purpose is to bring deliverance and restoration to female addicts, alcoholics, juvenile delinquents, abused and troubled young women through the power and love of Jesus Christ.
The New Life for Girls program is divided into three distinct phases:
1. Introduction
2. Training
3. Re-Entry & Observation
INTRODUCTION
For three to five months, the student resides in our homelike atmosphere, which helps her adjust to her new life. Each lady is assigned a counselor who offers her spiritual guidance to meet her personal needs. She immediately begins Bible classes that introduce her to learn practical, successful Christian living. Chapel services are Monday through Friday at 12 noon preceded by prayer, praise and worship. We welcome friends and visitors to come join us at this time.
Ladies are disciplined in self-care areas and they are scheduled with daily chores for the upkeep of the home. We also take time out for recreation, fellowship and fun, which might consist of a trip to the park or museum, volleyball, camping, or indoor games.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
At the end of the introduction phase, the student has:
Accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior with a foundation to build on.
Has been physically freed from her addiction.
Has had problem areas exposed such as rebellion, bitterness, low self-esteem, etc. through the application of the Word of God, she is learning to overcome.
TRAINING
For the second phase of the program the ladies are transferred to the main training center in rural Dover, Pennsylvania where there are 27 acres of land with a dormitory that can house up to 80 students. There is also a gymnasium on-site for the ladies’ recreational needs. The time spent there is generally eight months.
Jose Pacheco is the National Executive Directors, and are assisted by a Board of Directors with backgrounds in business, law and education, as well as being spiritual leaders in the community.
At the training center, the counseling and Bible classes are more intense, and the ladies must put into practice the self-discipline they learned to apply while at the introduction center. Here, the women with younger children are able to reside with them, growing together in the ways of the Lord.

RE-ENTRY & OBSERVATION
The last 3 to 6 months of the program is called Re-Entry and Observation (R & O). During this phase, the student’s readiness to re-enter society are evaluated and she is assisted by her counselor in making her future plans. Many go on to Bible school or college, some enter job training and relocate in the community, and others remain at New Life for Girls, assisting in various areas of the ministry.
In several cities where New Life for Girls centers are located, we have been able to open a distinct third phase home called “Victory House.” Here, the student and her children are able to reside in an apartment within the home for a small percentage of her income as she prepares to re-enter society and the job force. She is assisted in being established in a home church in the area and become an active part in the Body of Christ as she prepares to utilize, in a greater way, everything she gained through her time at New Life for Girls.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
We serve the community by offering schools, churches, prisons and civic groups a widespread drug abuse program through prevention sharing. Our speakers explain the ministry of New Life for Girls, the need for programs such as ours, and prevention assistance toward drugs, alcohol, and the “gang” lifestyle. The ladies share their stories, the effects of drugs or alcohol in their personal lives, and how they have overcome their addictive lifestyles through Christ.
