So, what’s your story?… Living Your Dream Part 2.

So, what’s your story?… Living Your Dream Part 2.

Let's take a deeper dive into our story telling and living that dream. Examples of our stories as follows: "I am a dutiful, responsible and faithful wife." "I am the bad news, bad luck kid." "I am a Financial Genius." "I am unworthy of having a mate that is emotionally supportive in my darkest moments." "I am prosperous on all levels and in all ways." "I can't sit still." "I am head-ache prone." --> No You're Not An Alien! Don't feel alone...We ALL have them. It's part of the human condition.

Living Your Dream…What Story Are You In?

Living Your Dream…What Story Are You In?

Often when we ponder "living a dream life" it conjures up flashes of an ultra-fantastic, super-happy,  "I got everything I ever wanted in the world" image. We dismiss that image as unrealistic and move on to the next thing we "should be" doing... So folks...we encourage you to stay with consideration of the "dream life" and your current state of being. Our observation is: THE MAJORITY OF US ARE LIVING OUR DREAM.  Furthermore, our dream life is continually mirrored back to us on a daily basis in normal living. So, what does this mean, really? Your "dreams" are the same "stories" that we tell ourselves about ourselves.  There is clearly no "truth" filter on the stories.  They ALL come through.  The ones that are the deepest engrained stick to us and yes...become us. Our interpretations of everything that happens to us in our normal daily routine go towards … Continue reading →

We decide to carry our "serious bag" or not...if you haven't set it down recently...go ahead try it Take 2 minutes...Breathe in playfulness, breathe in a playful, innocent heart...notice how attention moves from serious head to heart. ....everything lightens in and around you immediately. Need a Quick Shift? A Mental Break?

Need a Quick Shift? A Mental Break?

Need a Quick Shift? A Mental Break?

Close your eyes...check if you're breathing. Yes, check if you're breathing... You'll notice an immediate shift out of the constant thought-stream. Try it again... Continue for three slow, deep breaths...just watching. While deep breathing, drop ALL "need" to understand anything around you or in you...no need to label, no need to understand all the "why?" of life... Just let everything be, without language, for these few moments. Breathe and watch.

“Oh NO, meditation is not for me…”

“Oh NO, meditation is not for me…”

“Oh NO, meditation is not for me…”

Our question to you...Have you really experimented with "it"? Have you really explored "it"? Are there indicators in life that the status quo isn't exactly working on all things - Some examples - same old "life challenges" coming up except with different faces and places; frustrations of desires unfulfilled; or an undercurrent of boredom and "numbness" in life. Maybe, just maybe one day you'll want to try a new life approach...we hope so.

Meditation Happens – Not Something We “Do”

Meditation Happens – Not Something We “Do”

Meditation Happens – Not Something We “Do”

This is a reminder that meditation happens...in the right time and in the right season for each of us individually...it's not something we "do". The various meditation techniques, of which there are hundreds, help us prepare for meditation. It's like preparing soil in the garden and planting seeds...we wait to see if the seed sprouts. There is no "guarantee" of the sprouting and we don't "do" the sprouting. We continue to water, to fertilize, to weed the soil...all in preparation for a possible sprouting. What keeps meditators meditating? The unimaginable beautiful journey that unfolds as we do our meditation techniques (our "quiet practices"). Yes, the journey requires some patience, some discipline, some doing by us...but the rewards are continually revealed along the way with discoveries of who we are, awareness and consciousness is what propels us on the … Continue reading →

The Mind…A Beautiful Tool

The Mind…A Beautiful Tool

We are not against mind...we are not against thought...we are not looking to force silence. The mind is incredibly complex and beautiful. Our quiet practice, our observation and acceptance of it reveals this in time. Just watch, just be...

This recent study by Harvard Medical School showed that meditation assisted participants in reducing stress an also changed the brain’s physiology to support sustained reductions in anxiety and stress. (Click here for article on Harvard University's Eight Weeks to a Better Brain) 2. Greater Weight Loss - YES!
