Due to strong demand we are offering one mask per person in your household. You do not have to bring your family members or roommates with you to pick-up the masks, but please be considerate of other residents when telling us the number of masks you need.

The meeting is being live streamed here: https://fb.watch/ankRGplr8g/

We will be recording the meeting and sharing the video soon. Apologies for this inconvience.

My office always is available to answer questions about crime and public safety policy in the city. We will be hosting future forums (yes, with larger zoom capacities) soon.

Thank you for your patience.

Crime is the number one concern I hear about from residents and I want you all to know my office has been working closely with the 19th District police to combat the problem! The 19th has already increased squad car patrols on Lakeview’s main thoroughfares and they have expanded biked patrol units to the residential side streets.

In addition to those increased police resources my office today held public safety meetings with the three chambers of commerce in the 44th ward. Over 50 businesses joined us to discuss proactive ways to prevent crime. Thank you to the Lakeview East, Lakeview Roscoe Village, and Northalsted chambers for participating.

Finally, tonight I joined Alderman Waguespack, Alderman Martin, our Police Commander and other elected officials for a safety walk in Roscoe Village and down the Southport Corridor. We passed out information on the next police beat meetings and listened to the concerns of residents on the street. I will be holding more events like this around the ward in the upcoming weeks.

To keep up with what my office is doing to address crime please sign up for the 44th Ward newsletter: https://www.44thward.org/news/newsletter/
